The landmark, Grade II* listed building on Powis Street, Woolwich, London originally opened in 1937 as the Granada Cinema and was built by English theatre and cinema architect Cecil Masey. The building has a spectacular Venetian Gothic interior created by the Russian set designer Theodore Komisarjevsky.
The Cinema originally opened on the 20th of April 1937 with an immense capacity of around 3,000 people.
After the buildings life as a cinema came to an end, it was then converted for use as a Bingo Hall and was reopened on 30th of October 1966.
The Christ Faith Tabernacle organisation acquired the building in 2012 and converted it to a house of worship whilst still retaining the original 1937 features of this beautiful building.
The PROEL AXIOM plug and play solution was the ideal system for such a building due to its versatility and ease of use. “The congregation's response to the AXIOM has been extremely positive” said Apostle Alfred Williams, CFT’s founder. He continued to say that “the AXIOM systems impressive coverage means it can fill the auditorium and balcony area full of sound whilst still remaining clear and punchy. Its simplicity of use means we can also easily transport the system to other churches in our organisation or expand the system if we feel we need more”.
AXIOM & EDGE products are made by PROEL in ITALY and are a result of many years of experience and research into professional sound reinforcement.
