09/11/2018

Axiom is on the road in Germany with a series of roadshows and product demonstrations in major centres around the country, continuing the Italian pro audio manufacturer's succesfull strategy of growing export markets on the European continent. Having staged events so far in Liepzig and Berlin, and with Dormagen, Ingolstadt and Kulturboden to follow later in October and November, exclusive distribution partner IAD is rolling out Axiom line array and point source loudspeaker products to the German market aimed at live sound reinforcement and fixed installation applications.

"Allowing people to hear and experience the Axiom loudspeakers up close and in person is in my opinion the only way to demonstrate their benefits and the technology behind them," says IAD's pro audio sales manager Frank Swierzy.

IAD demonstrated the latest addition to the Axiom line array product range, the ultra-slim AX12C column array designed for with its wide horizontal coverage for live sound reinforcement and corporate applications. Consisting of 12 3.5-inch cone transducers with Diffraction Forming Waveguides in an attractive aluminium housing, the passive AX12C is complemented by the SW2100A active subwoofer which provides 2000 watts for the internal 21-inch subwoofer and 2000 watts for external AX12C, or AX6C columns. The new coaxial CX14A floor monitor and CX15A floor monitors were also demonstrated, along with the ED23P and ED25P fill speakers from the ED series of point source products.

"All our visitors were both surprised with the performance of the AX12C column array," says Swierzy. "Some had been impressed hearing it at the outdoor speaker demo at ProLight+Sound in Frankfurt, and for a standard club system in a club it is quite amazing. The 21-inch sub driver makes a lot of sound pressure, and it´s a 'musical' 21 – not the kind that only can play one note. So everyone gets to hear what the bass player intended and not just 'boom, boom'. And the column has clarity and SPL too, ensuring that the voice of the singer is always right 'in your face'.

The roadshow continues on through October to Dormagen at the Klosterhof Knechtsteden, Ingolstadt at the eventhalle Westpark, and finally to the Kulturboden in Hallstadt.
