18/02/2016 » Proel Debuts Axiom AX800A Compact Line Array and VAE Voice Alarm at ISE 2016

Proel returned to Amsterdam again this year for the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) exhibition. With visitor numbers expected to top the 60,000 that came through the doors in 2015, ISE is one of the fastest growing shows and is a key date on the trade show calendar for pro audio companies and visitors. In an expectation of further growth, this year for the first time ISE extended the duration from three to four days.

Making its world debut at ISE on booth 7-H182 was the new Axiom compact powered line array, the AX800A. Featuring two 8-inch low frequency drivers and a 1.4-inch high frequency compression driver in a lightweight moulded polypropylene enclosure, the two-way AX800A is sure become a vital component of many rental companies' inventory due to its ease of setup and simplicity of operation.

It is designed for many different sound reinforcement situations – such as medium sized indoor and outdoor events, small festivals, corporate events, and even as delays or outfills on larger shows. In the permanently installed sound system sector, the AX800A is ideal for theatre, houses of worship, live music venues and small clubs, theme parks, leisure and sports facilities, and retail spaces.

The Class D amplifier is a tried and tested DA series module used in many of the powered Axiom loudspeaker products, and in this configuration is optimised to deliver 900 watts to both LF drivers and 200 watts to the compression driver. A matching subwoofer, the dual 18-inch manifolded bandpass SW1800A, is designed to complement the AX800A in both portable and permanently installed applications. Both products are networkable using Proel's proprietary PRONET software, which enables editing and remote monitoring of a range of operating parameters such as levels, EQ, delay, and compression from a single remote location.

Sound system and PA technical support engineer Damiano Formiconi says that the exhibition was very well attended and attracted many visitors to the Proel booth to see the new compact line array. "The ISE tradeshow is growing year by year, and we took the opportunity to show the new AX800A speaker system which has got the attention of a lot of attendees," he comments. "The reception was very positive. The technical specifications are very competitive, and the product was well accepted for its design, quality of materials, and manufacturing. The AX800A will contribute very well to the growth of the Axiom brand, and boost the appeal of both the AX2010 and AX2065 line arrays.”

Proel also exhibited the first off-the-shelf voice alarm product offering in the VAE range, the AE300 Integrated Voice Alarm System. Consisting of a master unit housing a 300 watt Class D amplifier and EN54-4 compliant backup power supply; DBE01, DBE06, DBE108 software programmable call stations; and DBEVF firemen's call station, the AES300 has been designed for all buildings and facilities where fire alarm systems and evacuation needs are limited to a single zone. It is the ideal solution for schools, halls, supermarkets, motels, railway stations, hospitals. and general public buildings. The system is network ready and will allow several units to live together in a master-slave operation on more complex installations where additional zones are needed.
