APPLICATIONS
The Q-NEX20.4+ is the most powerful amplifier in the Q-NEX+ Series, engineered for large-scale touring productions, arenas, festivals and high-profile installed sound systems. Optimized for the entire AXIOM loudspeaker portfolio, it combines exceptional power density, advanced processing and networked control in a compact format.
When integrated within the AXIOM ecosystem, the amplifier operates seamlessly alongside active loudspeakers and other networked devices through the AUDIA software platform, enabling unified control and monitoring across the entire sound system.
AMPLIFIER TECHNOLOGY
The Q-NEX20.4+ employs a high-efficiency Class-D topology with universal switch-mode power supply and Power Factor Correction (PFC). The amplifier delivers up to 20,000 W total output power across four channels, providing extremely high current capability and voltage swing for demanding loudspeaker systems.
The advanced Power Control Management architecture dynamically distributes available power between channels, allowing exceptional flexibility and maximum utilization of amplifier resources. Efficiency above 90% reduces heat generation and operating costs while maintaining outstanding sonic performance and reliability.
SIGNAL PROCESSING
Signal processing is based on a fifth-generation SHARC+ floating-point DSP platform featuring 32-bit AD converters with 121 dB dynamic range.
Four independent DSP channels provide comprehensive loudspeaker management including FIR filters, parametric equalization, crossover functions, gain, delay, polarity, mute and advanced limiting. Flexible routing matrices allow complex system configurations while maintaining consistent control and predictable performance across all outputs.
NETWORKING AND CONTROL
Dual redundant Gigabit Ethernet ports support AVB-Milan or AES67 audio transport at 96/48 kHz with automatic failover between analog and digital sources. This architecture ensures deterministic low-latency audio distribution and high operational reliability in large networked systems.
AES70 device management and full integration with AXIOM AUDIA software provide centralized monitoring, configuration and control of both active and passive loudspeaker systems throughout the network.
HARDWARE
The Q-NEX20.4+ features a compact 2RU chassis incorporating a large IPS touch display, capacitive touch controls and rotary encoder for intuitive local operation.
The inverted airflow design minimizes internal dust accumulation, while removable filters simplify maintenance and maximize long-term reliability. Despite delivering up to 20,000 W total output power, the amplifier weighs only 9 kg, offering an exceptional power-to-weight ratio for touring and installation applications
