APPLICATIONS
The Q-NEX10.4+ is a high-performance 4-channel power amplifier designed for professional touring systems, fixed installations and demanding sound reinforcement applications. Optimized for use across the entire AXIOM product range, it provides the power, DSP processing and networking capabilities required to manage advanced passive loudspeaker systems.
When integrated within the AXIOM ecosystem, the amplifier can coexist with active loudspeakers and other networked devices under the AUDIA control platform, enabling unified system management and consistent operational logic throughout the installation.
AMPLIFIER TECHNOLOGY
The Q-NEX10.4+ employs a high-efficiency Class-D output stage combined with a universal switch-mode power supply featuring Power Factor Correction (PFC). The amplifier delivers up to 10,000 W total output power across four channels while maintaining efficiency above 90%, low heat dissipation and reduced power consumption.
An advanced Power Control Management system dynamically allocates available power among channels according to demand, ensuring optimal utilization of system resources and reliable operation under demanding conditions. Extensive protection systems safeguard the amplifier against overheating, short circuits, DC faults, RF interference, overloaded power supplies and abnormal load conditions.
SIGNAL PROCESSING
The integrated processing platform is based on a fifth-generation SHARC+ floating-point DSP architecture featuring 32-bit AD converters with 121 dB dynamic range and high-quality DA conversion.
The DSP engine provides four independent processing channels with comprehensive loudspeaker management functions including FIR filters, parametric EQ, crossover filters, gain, delay, polarity, mute functions and advanced limiting. Flexible input and output routing matrices allow adaptation to complex sound system configurations while maintaining precise control across all channels.
NETWORKING AND CONTROL
Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports provide AVB-Milan audio transport with redundancy and automatic failover capabilities. Each input channel can automatically switch between analog and Milan digital sources, ensuring uninterrupted operation.
AES70 standardized control allows complete integration within the AXIOM AUDIA software environment, providing centralized remote configuration, monitoring and management of both active loudspeakers and passive systems powered by Q-NEX+ amplifiers.
HARDWARE
The amplifier is housed in a compact 2RU chassis with integrated IPS touch display, capacitive control interface and rotary encoder for direct access to critical functions.
An inverted airflow design minimizes dust accumulation inside the chassis, while removable air filters simplify maintenance and contribute to long-term operational reliability. The lightweight construction of only 7 kg makes the Q-NEX10.4+ particularly suitable for portable touring applications.
